Circle Of Bytes – Events ("the app") is an internal event-coordination app operated by Thomas Marcussen / Circle Of Bytes ("we", "us"). This policy explains what data the app collects, why, and your rights. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising or tracking.

Who controls your data

Data controller: Thomas Marcussen / Circle Of Bytes. Contact: Thomas@thomasmarcussen.com. All data is stored in the European Union (Google Firebase, europe-west1).

What we collect and why

Account info — your name and email from Sign in with Apple, your role and approval status. Used to authenticate you and control access.
Event content — events, activities, assignments, chat messages, announcements, acknowledgements. Used to coordinate events.
Personal items — tickets, flight/hotel/transport details and any documents or photos added for you. Visible only to you and event managers/admins.
Profile picture — if you add one.
Precise location — only when you turn on location sharing for an event. Shared only with other attendees of that event. You can stop or remove it at any time. We never collect location otherwise.
Device push token — to deliver notifications about your events.
Crash diagnostics — to fix bugs.

How data is shared

Your data is visible only to other approved members of events you belong to, and to administrators, according to in-app roles and security rules. We use Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Storage, Cloud Functions, Cloud Messaging) as our processor. We do not share data with advertisers and perform no cross-app tracking.

Retention

Data is kept while your account is active. Event content may remain for the event's organisers. You can delete your account in the app at any time.

Your rights (incl. GDPR)

You can access, correct, or delete your data. Account deletion is available in the app (profile menu → Delete account) and removes your profile, personal items and files, and removes you from events. For other requests, contact Thomas@thomasmarcussen.com.

Children

The app is intended for staff, consultants, and event participants and is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be noted here with a new date.
